I have for a few years now been trying to extend the normal Autumn to Spring flowering times of my cymbidiums by buying plants that have been specifically bred to flower outside of that range. Here is one that is flowering now, in August, it spiked up during the hot spell we had in June and did not lose one bud as the spike matured.

It is a first blooming seedling of Golden Bean x Pixie Dust and has a single spike with 10 flowers.
