Probably my favourite dendrobium.
Unfortunately not quite hardy enough to survive at 5C in the winter and has to come inside in autumn, so as a result it doesnt flower quite as well as it should. The flowers have a wonderful ethereal appearance and smell of honey on a warm day

You could try D. anosmum, similar habit, likes a lot of heat. Pierardii seems to need a cooler sunny spell to initiate flowers

Thanks WilE, just Googled anosmum, not the same subtle colouring of Pierardii (but then it is a different plant! ) but a very attractive looking substitute for Pierardii.
I shall look out for this at the upcoming London Show.
