Just got this from McBean's its a cracker, fantastic shape and such a rich colour. I will use this to breed with my American plants see what I can produce.

Not my 'cup-of-tea' Luke but I'm sure you'll be very successful in the breeding of these.

It is so refreshing to see that you are planning to breed from your plants. There are so few people breeding any orchids in this country and very few worldwide who are breeding Odonts.

Thankyou, yes I fully intend to breed odonts. At 33 I will have many years ahead of me to breed and promote this excellent group of orchids. I will hopefully be able to get pollen from other growers to help with genetic diversity. I can't understand why odonts arnt more popular, easy to grow, flower every year and stunning displays!

Maybe it is the age of the flowers, or perhaps the lighting, but to me the flowers look way too reflexed for a good Odont. I do like the rich colour so hopefully your breeding will produce a good combination.
