Hi,

I recently bought this orchid and am quite unsure what it is (no label)!
I was wondering if anyone could help please?

Thanks very much,

Matt

You have a Phalaenanthe type dendrobium. There are are a lot of different types of dendrobium requiring different growing conditions. Yours is commonly called a Phal type dendrobium or den-phal.

Its def. a 'phalaenopsis-type' Dendrobium hybrid. So called because they resemble Phalaenopsis orchids in flower shape. If you google images for the species Dend.biggibum (from which these types are derived) you will see how similar it is to yours. Looks a good healthy plant.
